Bay Area Canine Club provides top-notch quality and professional dog services

Welcome to the Bay Area Canine Club (BACC)! We provide a professional, organic approach to traditional dog walking, boarding, and house sitting. Every dog is thoughtfully integrated into our program, starting with a two-week trial period to ensure compatibility with their intended pack, as well as at least one overnight trial for boarding purposes. Our specialty lies in off-leash park and beach walks, offering dogs a safe, stimulating, and enriching experience that supports their physical and social well-being. We proudly serve the Noe Valley, Excelsior, Bernal Heights, Castro, and Mission neighborhoods, ensuring that every dog in our care enjoys a balanced and fulfilling experience.

Owner
Syd
Hi! My name is Syd, and I have taken over ownership of BACC from the previous owner, Naomi. I grew up on the other side of the bay in Alameda. As a kid, my family fell in love with huskies, and we would foster multiple huskies at a time, many of whom were deemed "rescue only" due to behavioral issues. Soon after, both my parents became involved in training dogs for Search & Rescue.
I am very fortunate to have grown up surrounded by dogs. I attended UC Santa Barbara, where I received my B.A. in Sociology. After graduating, I decided to take up dog-sitting because I missed my family's dogs so much. I quickly found Colt on Craigslist. Unfortunately (but fortunately for me), his previous owner never came to pick him up at the end of his stay and asked if I'd keep him. That was 8 years ago.
Colt, a husky/shepherd mix, has been my beloved companion ever since. He has traveled the country with me, earning recognition from the American Temperament Test Society (ATTS) and the AKC Canine Good Citizen (both Standard and Advanced). It was this bond that led me to switch careers from being an EMT for almost a decade to taking a job working with dogs. In doing so, I've been lucky enough to work with your wonderful fur children. Seeing how much enrichment the dogs get from BACC services is the most rewarding part of the job. I wholeheartedly believe in our team and our ability to provide you with the reliable, loving care you have grown to expect. I consider it an honor to be trusted with your dogs and hope you will continue using our services. If you would like to meet in person to discuss our services or your dog, I would be more than happy to do so. Just give us a ring or shoot me an email!

Director/Manager
Anari (she/her)
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Anari has been part of the BACC team since 2020. Along with being an excellent dog walker, she brings two years of experience as a Veterinary Technician. Anari earned her degree in Psychology from Humboldt State University (now Cal Poly Humboldt).
Her passion for animals and commitment to the community guide everything she does—whether she is providing enrichment walks, volunteering with animal rescues, or assisting with their medical needs. When she is not caring for her furry clients or supporting veterinary clinics, Anari enjoys hiking with her chihuahua, Zeus, playing video games, and discovering new venues around San Francisco.

Pack Leader for Park Bigs
Maria (she/her)
Originally from Puerto Rico, Maria joined BACC in 2021. Since moving to the Bay Area, she’s become well-known in the San Francisco dog walking community as someone you can always count on. The dogs she cares for trust her completely and see her as a calm, confident leader who makes every walk an adventure.

Pack Leader for Beach Pack
Brittany (Bee)
Hello, my name is Brittany, but most folks call me Bee. I am a San Francisco native, and I have been working with and walking dogs for about 10 years now. I love working with animals in general, and my next step will be to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
My pack is the beach pack, and we absolutely adore dipping our toes and running like crazy in the sand. Every day is a different adventure depending on the random weather the city decides to give us, but rain or shine, we always have a good time.

Dog Walker
Emily
Emily’s been walking dogs off-leash at McLaren since August 2022. It’s definitely her favorite job, since it’s a way to spend the day with dogs and be in nature. She’s always been a dog lover; her first job was as a veterinary assistant, and she showed dogs as a junior handler in high school in obedience and confirmation. She also designs clothing and is in the process of merging her two passions with an upcoming dog clothing line to be modeled and named after her rescue dog, Eddy Valentine
